Q and A - Hair
I get this one a lot. And I do mean A LOT. I've never believed that my cartoon representation of me was an accurate depiction of the real me, but when I first started SYAC far too many people couldn't separate the two.
As such, over the year doing this comic I've tried to distance my cartoon self from my real self, and making him more "iconic" by adding hair is just one of those subtle changes.

Lol. I don't wear a hat to cover up my baldness. I wear a hat because hats are cool... just like fezzes.

I still think your cartoon representation looks better with a receding hairline.
You're trying to make your point with that third panel, but that's not a fair depiction. I can look at your earlier comics and the baldness gives you much more personality. Your haired version is too generic, and has no reason to wear a hat.

I was thinking more along the lines of either it's cold or you could get sunburned, not trying to hide it. Maybe it's just me but I think I see bald people wear hats outside more often than fully-haired people.
But maybe it's just that extra half-inch of thickness that makes wearing a hat possible or not. I'd like to buy a nice hat, but even at a big-and-tall store I can't find one that fits.
