Part of the reason I don't "update" people about what goes on here is because outside writing in the comment section, there's not an easy way to mass announce updates or news.
The vast majority of my followers, however, follow me from DA and DA has a journal feature where I make the majority of my announcements and updates.
In any case, there will be an update coming soon. If anyone cares to read these comments and sees this.

I understand what you are saying. My problem isn't in the way he handles his problems. It's in the way he outwardly acts. The last few comics that he did publish had no more than a "..." description and on /every/ site except for this one does he say that he's stopping the comics.
Like I said, I love his art and his comics. They have always made me smile and I've been a fan for a long time.

Congrats to ADobson on everything, though. I hope you go on to animate for Disney, or whatever you want your future to be.

There's a huge difference between "taking criticism" and "tolerating having shit flung at you 24/7", Neve. :| He has no problem with taking criticism. The problem is constant trolling and nitpicking and people looking for any excuse at all to insult and berate him for everything he ever does. If you know of a graceful way to deal with that for six years straight, then I must commend you on your perserverence and patience.

I think the posted on tumblr that he won't be making SYAC anymore. Kinda ironic considering the title of this last strip. I did like SYAC so I wish he came back but we can't force him and I'm sure he has read what his fans have to say.

What about writing him a letter. Ya know, everyone can write it here, then anyone or everyone who already has his address can copy and print the messages and send it to him in a letter. and to top it off, they can send him fireworks that, when they go off, says WE WANT YOU BACK AT SYAC!

I really don't think that's a good idea. Posting his address here, I mean. I know you have good intentions, but I don't doubt that trolls would take advantage of his personal address being published in a public space. :S If anything, maybe send him a message on deviantart. That has much less chance to backfire horribly.

Andy, as a suggestion, you could "update the comic" with a little filler and let us know more in the journal - I've seen Mookie of Dominic Deegan handle it this way. he'll then take down that update when the comic resumes. it seems to work out for him really well.
I'm a patient person though, I'm not meaning to pressure you.
