A Handy Reference
Just like how I frequently make silly faces when drawing cartoon faces, sometimes I use my own hands as reference when drawing cartoon hands.

When I need to study body proportions, I just fetch my little brother and have him model for me.
Amazing that he never gets tired of it.

Which is why my work is done like portraits.
I avoid hands due to my tendency to erase right through paper on a normal basis (I am my worst critic!)

isn't it a pain when you're trying to draw a hand from an angle or perspective you can't show yourself? (i find it very annoying) xD
